Facebook scam cartoons or good cause mysterious?

Recently a Facebook campaign to raise awareness that say about child abuse has been spreading through social media hub, with millions of members changing their profile photos of old cartoon characters.

Compliance updates Facebook users now state something like: “Change your profile picture a cartoon from your childhood. The goal? Not to see a human face to the Monday, December 6. Join the fight against child abuse, copy and paste to your state, and invite your friends to do the same.

Facebook is a powerful tool for raising over 500 million people connected to the Internet giant. However, this latest trend is overshadowed by comments on Facebook scam, and some even say that in reality may have been initiated by child molesters.

However, other posts suggests the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) led the campaign, such as the NSPCC website is the first in the list on condition of anonymity Facebook page, along with childhelp.org and stopitnow . org. However, the NSPCC, said on Twitter that is not responsible for the campaign, but welcomes “the attention that has been put into the work we do.”

The Los Angeles Times says the campaign is not current website or information about its history or details of the issues involved. Nor is there any method to make a donation. And Mashable states, “the origin of this campaign remain a mystery, since there appears to be affiliated with any official organization.” The blog site points to, “at least in the U.S., National Child Abuse Prevention Month ISN ‘t until April.”

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that it is a scam, according to WhatIsTheTrend. However, it remains unclear exactly how the profile of the trend in exchange for help against child abuse.
