Pyramid scheme scam are among the most common scams used by the most unscrupulous members of our society to tear off unsuspecting victims. The first key in defending yourself from these scams is to be aware of the way it works, and then the next key is to be diligent in looking for sure signs that may indicate you are dealing with an unscrupulous individual or illegal promotion ploy.

If you were to draw the process on a board, it would resemble a pyramid, which is the way it gets its name. The first person will recruit a few people, who then recruit a few more people, who recruit even more. Say that each person recruits ten people. The first person will recruit 10 people, then those 10 will recruit a total of 100 people, and then those 100 will recruit a total of 1,000 people, and so on. So in case you are approached with a chance, keep in mind the age-old adage, if it seems nice to be true, it probably is. These schemes can get moving because of the greed of those recruited. It is introduced as a fast and simple way to make some nice money, and that appeal to most people. But keep in mind,

a) You have no idea how far along this method is, which could leave you as of the plenty of losers in this method.

b) The technique is illegal, unethical, and it is best to keep away from them and make you money in an honest way.
