Las Vegas Police Warn of Bank Scam Targeting Summerlin Residents

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has issued a warning about a new phone scam targeting Summerlin residents.

According to LVMPD, the scam involves suspects calling individuals and pretending to be their bank. The scammers inform the victims about supposed suspicious activity on their account and even send a verification code via text to appear legitimate.

In a more alarming twist, the suspects then send a “representative” to collect the credit card for supposed “destruction,” only to use the card around town until it is canceled.

LVMPD emphasizes that no bank will ever send a representative to pick up your card. They advise residents to call their bank directly if they receive such a call.
