Frank Dave contacted me through the dating site, claiming he is on a mission in Syria on a ship and does not have access to his credit card. He asked me for money to send to his son, who is currently in Nigeria, to retrieve a lost credit card. Initially, he requested $700, and I sent $200 and then $500. He said the money was used for food and books. Later, he asked if I wanted to become the beneficiary of a $850,000 compensation fund in his name, and he emailed me a bank document to certify its authenticity. However, to become the recipient, I needed to open an escrow account at a Nigerian bank, for which Mr. Dave requested an additional $750. It appears he also uses other profiles on the dating site.
