The Bowling Green Police Department is alerting the community about a new scam involving landscaping services.
Police report that a group of three men is approaching residents, offering to spread pine straw in their yards at a low price. However, once the work is completed, they charge exorbitant amounts far exceeding the original estimate.
In one incident, a resident was given an estimate of approximately $100. When the work was finished, the bill was a shocking $3,700.
The suspects are described as three men driving a white pickup truck with a screened-in trailer.
Residents are advised to decline any offers from these individuals and immediately contact the Bowling Green Police Department at 270-393-4244.
