Twitter Hacking Scam
Arthur Madrid, co-founder and CEO of metaverse project The Sandbox, was the victim of a Twitter account hack on May 26, according to a post from Madrid that was apparently made after he recovered the account.
The attacker allegedly used Madrid’s account to promote a fake “airdrop” phishing scam. Read more

Texting with a Scam Artist
“Hi Dad I’m texting you off a friends phone I’ve smashed mine and their phones about to die. Can you text my new number 089949**** please x.”
The message arrived after 6pm and for an instant alarm bells started ringing. By chance, my oldest child was hundreds of kilometres away on a school trip and it was entirely believable she could have smashed her phone. Read more

Scammers are taking outdated ads from real employers, changing them, and posting them on employment websites and career-oriented platforms like Indeed or LinkedIn. The modified ads seem to be real job offers with legitimate companies.
