Mega Millions Jackpot scam
EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a Pennsylvania man fell victim to a Mega Millions jackpot scam losing over $100,000.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers received a report of theft where an 80-year-old man from Benton, Columbia County was scammed out of $110,000. Read more

Credit Union Warns of Text Message Scams
EUGENE, Ore. – Scammers are disguising themselves as banks and contacting people as a way to try and steal personal financial information.
Scammers posing as banks is not a new problem, but the way they are doing it is evolving. Matthew Wilson, vice president of risk and administration at Oregon Community Credit Union, said scammers come at it from all angles. Read more

Google Airline Scam Warning
In the spring I wrote about scammers taking over an old Singapore Airlines phone number and pretending to be Singapore Airlines when customers call.
The scammers charge high fees for basic services the airline would normally provide for free, like helping with seat assignments. Read more
