The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Western VA has recently learned that local businesses are being solicited by a scam artist offering to sell advertising on Carilion Clinic’s hospital patient discharge bags.
BBB has verified that businesses are receiving calls from an individual claiming to be “Rebecca McCloud.” Read more

Investigation of College Enrollment Scam
A joint task force, made up of senior immigration and border security officials, will probe individual cases of international students who fell victim to a fraudulent acceptance letters scam, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser told media Wednesday. Read more

Phishing Scam Warning
A major Australian bank has issued a warning to customers over an elaborate remote access scam which tricks users into losing control of their devices.
NAB made the announcement on Wednesday, saying they were aware of a number of fake websites connected to the bank which have been created by cyber criminals. Read more
