Doctor Frauds Medicare
DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (FOX 2) – After a Dearborn Heights doctor was suspended from submitting claims to Medicare in 2015, he allegedly used other doctors’ identities to continue to submit these claims.
Authorities say Fares Yasin, 59, kept treating Medicare beneficiaries, and then he fraudulently submitted claims to Medicare by using the names and identification numbers of other doctors. Read more

Food Stamp Scam: Card skimming
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is warning beneficiaries that fraudsters are using card skimming to try and steal their food stamp benefits.
The USDA said it has received several fraud reports related to SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the formal name for food stamps. Read more

Scammers Hack Verified Facebook Pages
If you see a verified page, complete with the blue checkmark, on Facebook…don’t automatically assume that page is legit.Mashable can confirm that a number of fake Facebook business pages have been masquerading as companies such as Google and even Meta itself.
In all of the pages viewed by Mashable, the verified Facebook pages appear to have been hacked, with their page name and Facebook URL changed in the past week. Read more
