Cyclist-assaulting thief on a moped sentenced to prison

Luke Elmer, residing on Camborne Drive in Hemel Hempstead, has been sentenced to three years and two weeks in prison for assaulting a cyclist. The 19-year-old, accompanied by an accomplice, committed the crime on Cambridge’s Mill Road on August 3, 2022. Elmer admitted guilt to charges of robbery, assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH), and fraud by false representation.

A Northern Ireland student fell victim to a £200,000 scam when two individuals, pretending to be Chinese policemen, coerced her into paying by threatening arrest.

Groombridge resident issues fraud warning after falling victim to a fake O2 caller scam.

An 84-year-old Groombridge resident, Chris Messer, is cautioning others about the perils of advanced online fraud. Messer fell victim to a scam involving a bogus O2 caller when seeking information about a phone upgrade. Subsequently, he received another phone, purportedly used by the fraudsters, and found unauthorized charges on his account.
