Calisto Tanzi is ‘the founder of Parmalat and is a convicted Italian fraudster’. In 2007, Parmalat went to bankruptcy with 13 billion Euros in accounting fraud where Tanzi swindles about 800 million for himself. He was convicted and sentenced to 18 years in prison but was the sentence was later reduced to 9 years by his appeal.
