Advance Fee Loan Scam Report

Advance Fee Loan Scam Report

Description :

I am currently out of work due to Covid and have been apply work jobs. I received a call from an unknown nume and snwered it because I thought it was a potential employer. It was a company that claimed to be a loaning organization. I typically ignore or have a filter on my hone for such calls. I did answer it to find out about their process and report them. The caller was male, sounded like he was from India. He went by the name Brian Williams. He was very personable and shared to much information and didn't communicate ina professional manner. They stated that I applied for a loan with them (which I didn't) and said the minimum I could take out with them is 2,000. They ask for your State or Driver License and try to obtain banking credentials. they then say not to change you banking ID or passcode until the transfer has been completed. I later received an email from my bank stating that claims had been taken out from my account for different purchase. When I told them I was not interested in persuing aloan with them and that is seemed like a scam to me they blew up my text messages and attempted to contact me through different (but similar) phone numbers. I just put them on my block list as they came in.
