Today, I’ve been feeling a little down and lonely. I’ve been thinking a lot about our correspondence and about us. You’ve become like a drug to me (I hope you understand what I mean). I spend the whole day waiting for your letter, but I know our communication is so limited. I often try to imagine you saying all the things you write to me, and I dream of seeing your eyes looking into mine... but it’s hard knowing you’re so far away, with thousands of kilometers separating us.

Your words are so sweet… mmm, I’m not joking! You really know how to intrigue a girl. I’m not sure how long we’ve been writing to each other, but it feels like I’ve known you forever. Sometimes, I feel like you can read my thoughts, like you can see inside my mind. With each passing day, you feel closer to me.
Do you know the song “Closer” by Ne-Yo? I feel like it’s a song about us. I’m afraid I can’t quite find the words to express how much I care about you and how much I need you, but please know that it’s true.
There’s nothing new in my life, really. Just the same routine, day after day. But now that I’ve met you, everything seems so dull and repetitive. I feel like I’ve been living in a small box, and maybe you can help me break free from it.

Hi, my wonderful Richard!
Thank you for your exquisite compliments. You’ve really flattered me... I’m blushing! I’ve never received such elegant words from any man. It was such a joy to get your letter again; your words always make me feel so special. I truly appreciate your attention. You’ve been on my mind constantly these past few days. I fall asleep thinking of you and wake up with a smile because of you.
Today, I was so lost in my thoughts of you that I completely forgot to pay for my bus ticket. I know, it’s embarrassing, but it shows just how much you mean to me. Also, today, Elena and I are going to the cinema to see a movie called Ice. It’s a Russian film, but honestly, I’m not crazy about multi-part films. You have to know all the parts to fully enjoy it, and I’ve missed most of them. But I’m going for Elena’s sake—she really wanted to go, so I’m tagging along. Do you enjoy going to the movies? What kinds of films do you like? Do you have a favorite movie?
Another little update: I spoke with my boss today, and she said I’ll have a vacation in a couple of weeks. It’ll be great since I haven’t taken any time off in a while. Of course, I have weekends and holidays, but it’s not the same. Maybe this could be a good opportunity for us to meet in person! Have you thought about that? Would you like to visit me in Russia, or would you prefer to meet in your country?
