I believe that she initiated contact, but for that I am unsure. One day i was browsing Craigslist personals and contacted a few people. Same with the app called Tagged, though that is more like a dating app. The thing that got me concerned was that none of the women i intended on contacting seemed to be Russian, but somehow I got an email from an unrecognized sender. She sent a few pics and asked for me to send some and to describe myself just like she did in her emails. We have been emailing each other for almost 7 months but not as often. I was pretty suspicious of the whole thing from the start since things seemed too good to be true. She was a beautiful woman and after about a month, she started saying we were lovers. I played along but occasionally actually felt that maybe she was real. She didn't ask for anything at the time and seemed to be really nice. She even said things like she was sorry for taking a long time to respond since she went to an internet cafe to email me and couldn't always do it. But she always mentioned something about wanting to come study in my area. She talked about her considering applying for a visa and then a few months ago asked if i could help pay for it. I stopped replying but she didn't. She did seem more and more desperate and even started sending nudes, (though she didn't have her face in the pics). She kept trying to make me promise her I'd help pay and she said she would work here and pay me back eventually. She asked for 240 dollars for the visa and wanted me to do it before February 10th. She wanted it through Moneygram or Western Union. All of her emails at that point on were about that. I then began to actually research the email and came across this site, but didn't find what i was looking for. it took google images and found the pic of her with a passport. She sent me pics of her trying to prove she was real like my name written on something in front of her and a pic of her birth certificate and then the same pic that i found of her with her passport.
