Letter 1

Hello Francisco, I received your letter, and I’m so happy to see that our communication is growing stronger each day. Our connection seems to be improving with every letter, and I truly appreciate that.
I’ve noticed you haven’t sent any new photos—could you please share some? I’d love to learn more about you, and pictures always make our connection feel more personal. I also want to thank you for being open with me about your past relationships. It saddens me to hear how things ended for you. I understand how painful it must have been, as I’ve experienced that same kind of heartache before.
I’m also sorry to hear about the loss of your parents. It’s clear that you still hold them in your heart, and I admire that you continue to honor their memory by visiting their graves. I enjoyed reading about your family, and it was really touching to learn about your region as well. It would be wonderful to visit your area one day and see some of its beauty in person.
Do you have an aquarium? I’d love to know more about it and see pictures of your fish, if you have any! I adore animals—both cats and dogs are dear to me.
This morning, I went for a swim at the pool and spent 45 minutes there. Afterward, I felt tired but content, so I relaxed on the sofa and ended up falling asleep with the TV on. When I woke up, I tidied up the apartment because I like to keep things clean and organized. Then I prepared dinner—spaghetti bolognese. I hope that gives you a little glimpse into my day. How was yours? I’m very curious about what you’ve been up to today.
By the way, I work five days a week, with Saturday and Sunday off. I usually commute by public transport or taxi, and my workday lasts eight hours. Is that similar in your country? Do you also have lunch breaks during your day?
There’s something I’d like to share with you that I haven’t mentioned before. I think it’s important that you know about it. A few years ago, I had an unpleasant experience with a man named Azamat. We were in a long-term relationship and lived together, but I ended up very disappointed in him. One day, I came home early from work, excited to prepare dinner for him, only to find a strange woman’s shoes in the hallway. I thought it might have been a friend visiting, but when I opened the bedroom door, I was devastated to see Azamat lying in bed with another woman.
When he saw me, he tried to explain, but I didn’t need any explanations. I could see everything clearly. I was heartbroken and ran out of the apartment, crying. The next day, I told Azamat to pack his things and leave. I couldn’t stay with someone who had betrayed me. After that, I isolated myself from men for more than three years.
Now, I’ve decided to open my heart again and search for a man who truly values honesty and loyalty. But I don’t want to look for love in Kazakhstan anymore, which is why I decided to try finding someone from another country.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warmly,
Elizabeth Katiebanks
P.S. I’ve attached a photo from a recent work conference. I hope you like it!

Letter 2

Hi Francisco, How was your day today? I’m always curious to know how things are going for you. Today, in my city, it was -16 degrees in the afternoon, so it was too cold to be outside. I decided to stay in and watch Avatar, my favorite movie. I watched the first part, and then I decided to watch Avatar: The Way of Water too. Have you seen it? I’d love to watch it with you someday! I’m happy to watch it over and over.
I’m also sorry to hear about your accident when you fell through the ice as a child. That must have been terrifying, but I’m so glad your father was able to save you. I’ve never experienced anything that traumatic, but I did lose my father when I was just one year old. At that time, we were in Germany, but my mother had to return to Kazakhstan with me.
By the way, I noticed you didn’t answer some of the questions in my last letter, particularly about your work, how you get to work, and your past relationships. I’m eager to hear more from you and learn about these things.
Looking forward to your reply,
Elizabeth Katiebanks

Letter 3

Hello Francisco, It makes me so happy to see that you continue to write me every day. I truly enjoy our conversations, and I appreciate that you’re always here, keeping in touch. But I have to admit, I want to feel even closer to you. I wish you were here with me now, near me.
I hope you had a great weekend and that your Monday was just as wonderful. I had a lovely morning today—I walked to work in the crisp, pleasant frost, and I took my time enjoying the peacefulness of it. On my way back home, I walked for 50 minutes and covered about 15 kilometers. Walking in the morning and evening is so healthy, and it made me feel refreshed and happy.
I’ve shared a lot with you about my past relationships because I want you to know how serious I am about us. I’m looking for a relationship built on sincerity, respect, and commitment—nothing fleeting or superficial. I’m not interested in games, and I hope you feel the same way. My friend Veranika once suggested that I try meeting someone online, as she found love through this method. She went to Spain to meet a man she met online, and she’s been happy there ever since.
I’ve also seen a TV show called "Let’s Get Married," where foreign men come to Kazakhstan to meet women. The show often features stories about women who are looking for love outside Kazakhstan because they believe foreign men make better partners. Some of them find true love, just like Veranika did, and it gives me hope that I can find my person too.
I want to find someone who can truly love me for who I am, someone I can trust completely. I don’t want any lies in my relationship. If we build our relationship on honesty, it will stand strong for years to come. I believe you are kind, sincere, and trustworthy, and that’s why I feel comfortable talking to you.
I’ve attached a photo from my holiday last year. My friend Veranika and I visited Yalta in Crimea, and it was such a beautiful experience. Do you know Yalta? I hope you enjoy the photos!
I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Francisco. Your opinion means a lot to me.
Warmly,
Elizabeth Katiebanks
