I’m almost certain that the first thing you did was look at my photo before opening my letter! Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a reply so soon—what a pleasant surprise!

Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Faith Owhorji, I’m 28 years old, and I’m still a single woman who has never been married. By nature, I’m kind and sympathetic. You might be surprised to hear this, but I’m currently in Serbia. I was born in Kazakhstan and lived there until I was 16. Then, my family and I moved to Serbia because we believed the education system there would offer better opportunities. I’ve been living here ever since.

I reached out to a dating agency in my search for a special man, and that’s how I got the chance to know you. After graduating from university, I traveled to the U.S. for an internship in Huron, where I worked as a waitress and practiced my English. It was like a dream come true! During my four-month stay, I learned so much about your country. Unfortunately, I had to return home, but I’ve never given up hope of visiting again—maybe even staying there forever. A good friend of mine in the U.S. was actually the one who encouraged me to try a dating agency.

Now, I live and work in Tula, though I grew up in a small town where my mother and sister still live. I visit them as often as I can. I have friends, hobbies, and a good job, so I’m not just passing time. But I do miss my experience in the U.S.—the warm, friendly people and beautiful places I had only seen on TV before. Those memories left a lasting impression on my heart.

What I truly want is to find someone special and build a strong relationship. That’s the most important thing for me. Age or nationality doesn’t matter—I care about what’s in a man’s heart and mind. I need a life partner, my best friend, someone I can love and dedicate my life to. Maybe that person is you—who knows?

You might wonder why I’m searching online. Well, there are many reasons. In today’s fast-paced world, we get so caught up in our daily responsibilities and future worries that we often forget to live in the present. We follow patterns set by generations before us without questioning them. But life is in our own hands. I don’t know yet if the internet is the best way to find love, but I believe it’s worth trying. Why not?

This is my first letter to you, and I really hope it won’t be the last. Please write back—I’m not asking for much, just a chance to be your friend. Let’s see where this journey takes us.
