Letter 1

Hello, dear Henry, How are you today? I hope everything is going well for you. What’s the weather like in your country?
Today has been a bit difficult for me, but now that I’m free, I’m happy to write to you. I want to apologize for my previous letter; it was a bit sad, and I didn’t mean to make you feel disappointed. I hope it didn’t upset you.
Now, I’d love to share some of my hobbies with you. I enjoy listening to a variety of music, depending on my mood and feelings. I really like Joe Satriani, I think he’s an incredible guitar player. I hope you agree with me. I also enjoy listening to bands like Dire Straits and Pink Floyd—they are unique and not like any other bands.
There are many popular musicians from abroad, but I also remember some great Russian ones. You might have heard of the Russian bands “Spleen” or “Chaif.” The most famous Russian band abroad is “Gorky Park.” They had a huge success in the early 90s.
I love going to the cinema. These days, many foreign films are shown in Russia. I enjoy old American films like Gladiator and Braveheart. Mel Gibson is a fantastic actor. My health is very important to me, and I’m proud to say it’s in great condition. I always try to stay in shape. Every morning, I spend as much time as I can outdoors. I don’t have a car, so I take the bus. Living in a place with cold winters and damp autumns has helped strengthen my health.
I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. I prefer a healthy lifestyle.
I also have a few other hobbies, like sewing and knitting. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and collecting berries. In winter, I love skiing and skating.
But I also want to tell you about some things I dislike. I really don’t like deceitful or envious people. I can’t stand cruelty or rudeness. People who spend their time drinking alcohol or those who don’t appreciate good food also don’t interest me. I’d love to hear more about you. I feel that we’re becoming good friends, and I think friends should really get to know each other well. Do you agree?

Thank you so much for your kind letter and your sweet words. You’re so thoughtful, and it’s such a pleasure to read your letters. When I close my eyes, I can almost hear you speaking these tender words to me, and it makes me feel wonderful. Even though we are far apart, in my dreams, we’re together, walking in a beautiful place, exchanging loving words.
I feel that you’re very special to me, Henry. You know, I don’t think that external beauty is the most important thing. Sure, beauty can last for a while, but over time, it fades, and there will always be people who look better. I believe the real beauty lies in the soul. It’s who you are inside that truly matters. I hope you agree with me.
I see in you a person I can easily talk to, someone who is interesting to me. I want to know your soul, to know everything about you. I feel like we share many of the same values and that we’re looking for similar things in life. Hi, my dear Henry,
It’s always such a pleasure to receive your letters. I’m so happy that we’ve become acquainted. Even though we’ve only been corresponding for a short time, your letters feel like I’ve known you much longer. Our thoughts seem to align so well, and I feel like we’re becoming good friends, perhaps even more.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my future, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I would like to move to another country to live. There are a few reasons behind this decision, and I’d like to share them with you.
First, I want stability in my life. It’s very difficult to achieve that here in Russia, given the current economic situation. There’s no certainty about the future, and it makes me think about my own future in a different place.
The second reason is that I want to find my soul mate—someone I can trust completely, who will be by my side, love me, and take care of me. I’ve had experience with Russian men who have bad habits, like drinking a lot. My father used to drink heavily, and it caused my mother so much pain. I don’t want that for myself.
I think now you understand why I’m considering moving away from Russia. I want to find a strong emotional connection, a loving and understanding relationship where I can feel safe and cherished. I have so much love and care to give, but right now, there’s no one special for me to share it with. I’m waiting to meet my one true love, the person I can give all my affection to.
