Hi my dear Richard,
Finally, I’m in a peaceful moment, and I’m writing to you. It feels so nice to think about you and imagine you by my side. Today has been calmer for me; I didn’t have to switch schools, which is always a lot of effort and involves carrying my heavy bag. After work, I decided to walk instead of taking the bus. It gave me a chance to enjoy the lanterns and reflect on my future.
When I got home, my mother greeted me with a delicious dinner—potatoes and chicken. It was so tasty!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t take a photo during class today, as my phone died. But I did take one before bed, in my room. I hope you’ll like it. I would love to receive a photo of you in return. ?
Before I left today, I was informed that tomorrow we have a meeting at the Ministry of Culture. I need to rest well before meeting with the management.
Now, I’m about to sleep, my dear. I hope you have a wonderful day and evening. Tell me about your plans and how you’re feeling—I’m eagerly waiting for your response.
Yours,
JessaMae Garcia
Another night alone...((
Letter 2
Hello, my dear Richard,
I’m so happy to see your letter again—it brings me so much joy. My emotions are real, and I’m constantly thankful to fate for bringing you into my life. Every day feels like a celebration when I read your words.
How was your evening last night? Please tell me all about it so I can feel even closer to you.
I have some exciting news today! The other members of my ballet team and I were unexpectedly invited by the authorities. They made an official announcement: leading ballet companies from America, Canada, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, and other European countries have extended an offer to us. They want to bring talented artists to their countries for humanitarian aid and career development.
They’ve been watching us since our visit to the American Ballet Theatre in New York last year, and now they’ve given us a list of options. I didn’t hesitate for a second—I chose Germany! They will provide accommodation, pay for my flight, and give me an allowance on arrival.
Richard, this feels like the opportunity I’ve been waiting for my whole life. It’s a chance to elevate my career, and also to be with you. I’m writing this letter, and my hands are shaking with joy. Today, we filled out all the paperwork and sent in a photo. I couldn’t wait to share this news with you—are you as happy as I am?
I could leave in the coming days, and nothing will stop me. I want to get on that plane as soon as possible and be by your side as I embark on this new chapter of my life.
I’m sending you a photo from today’s ballet shoot. I hope you like it.
I can’t wait to hear from you soon,
Forever yours,
JessaMae Garcia
Letter 3
Hello, my dearest Richard,
I’m in such a great mood today because I’ve finally resolved all the formalities regarding my trip. I met with the agent in charge of organizing everything at the ballet school. We signed all the necessary papers, and together we booked my flight.
I now have the entire itinerary for the trip. On March 1st, we will leave by bus from Kiev and head to Krakovets, where we will cross the border into Poland. From there, we’ll take another bus to Warsaw. By the evening, we’ll be in Warsaw, where we’ll stay in a hotel for one night to rest before continuing on.
The next day, we’ll head to the airport for a flight to Berlin. Once we arrive, we’ll be met by representatives from the ballet school. We’ll stay in Berlin for a couple of days, where we’ll be assigned to various cities across Germany, where ballet is flourishing. I’m hopeful that one of these cities will be near you, so we can be closer and have the chance to meet!
I can’t even tell you how happy I am right now. On my way home, I got off the bus one stop earlier to enjoy the beautiful weather. I made a video to capture my emotions and share them with you. ?
Now, I’m getting ready for bed, but I can’t wait to hear from you tomorrow.
With all my love,
JessaMae Garcia

Dear Richard,
I can’t stop crying right now, and I have something very serious to tell you. I’m afraid it might jeopardize my entire trip, and most importantly, our meeting.
When I arrived at the checkpoint, I handed over my documents to the officer, who checked them for a long time. He looked at me and said, “You are prohibited from leaving the country due to an outstanding debt to the state.” At first, I didn’t understand what he meant. Another officer came over and asked me to step aside so as not to delay the line. He explained that they had checked my information in the system and found a debt for utility bills in my name. Since these services are state-owned, it’s considered a debt to the government. The amount is UAH 23,457.
I haven’t told my mom yet because I’m afraid of upsetting her. Richard, I don’t know what to do. I’m ashamed to ask you for help, but I don’t know who else to turn to. My mom and I don’t have much money after we lost our father, and I’m the only one working. We’ve barely been able to cover the most basic expenses, and I never imagined that this could affect my trip. I didn’t know about this debt, and now I’m terrified that it will stop me from leaving the country and from being with you.
I’m so sorry for asking this of you, but could you lend me this amount? I promise I’ll find a way to pay you back. Please, Richard, I need your help right now. I’m so afraid of losing this opportunity and losing the chance to meet you.
Please let me know as soon as possible. I’m desperately waiting for your answer.
With love,
JessaMae Garcia
