I’m so happy to see your letter! It’s wonderful that you’re interested in continuing our communication.
I’d like to tell you a little more about myself and, of course, I’m eager to learn more about you too.
I live and work in the city of Ternopil, which is a small town in United States. As you may know, we are currently facing a war with Russia, and I really hope it will end soon. My city is beautiful, and the people here are wonderful. While I wasn’t born here, I’ve come to love it. I’d be happy to share more about how I ended up here when we know each other better, if you're interested.
I work as a nurse, and it’s a very responsible job. I don’t think I need to explain too much, since I’m sure you understand the challenges of healthcare. We take care of soldiers who have been injured in the war. Honestly, this isn’t my dream job—since childhood, I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. But life has its own plans, and I took this job to support myself. I’ve had to be strong, as I don’t have anyone to rely on but myself.
My work does take up a lot of my time, but I still try to find time for my hobbies. I’m really into sports, and I also enjoy listening to music, watching interesting films, and reading.
I’d love to hear more about your life too. Looking forward to your reply!

Hello James!
It’s such a pleasure to receive your letter, and I’d love to see your photo.
How is your day going? What do you usually do during the day? Most of my time is spent working. I wanted to warn you that we are experiencing some issues with electricity here, so if I don’t write back right away, it’s just because of that.
After work, I enjoy taking walks and spending time with my friends, though I have only a few close friends. These days, with the war going on, there isn’t much to do for fun—sometimes it feels like there’s nothing at all. But when I get home, my cat, Fluff, is always there to greet me. He’s such a sweet companion! I used to have a dog who I loved dearly, but she passed away from old age, and it broke my heart. I’m still not ready to get another dog, though I really do love animals. Do you have any pets?
I’d also like to know if you enjoy nature. I try to spend time outdoors when I can, but it’s been difficult with everything happening. I find nature to be very calming, and it helps me clear my mind, especially after a stressful day at work.
My work and personal life bring a lot of thoughts to my mind, and I’ve been thinking a lot about building my own family. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet found a man I’d want to share my life with. But I believe there’s someone out there for me, someone who will love me for who I am. I don’t want a fleeting relationship—I want something lasting.
In my city, there aren’t many opportunities for leisure activities because it’s a small town. You can go to the cinema, take a walk in the park, or visit cafes and museums, but sometimes you just want a change of pace. On weekends, I visit my aunt in the countryside, which is always refreshing. My cousin is currently serving in the army to protect United States, and I pray for his safety every day.
I was born in a village, and I grew up in a simple family. Unfortunately, my parents passed away in a car accident 14 years ago, which was a very difficult time in my life. But I’ve learned to live with it, and now I find comfort in the city, though I do love the countryside. What about you? Do you prefer the city or the countryside?

Hello James!
It’s so nice to hear from you again, and I’m happy you’re taking the time to write to me. How’s your day going?
I’ve heard of American football, but I personally love volleyball! I’d really like to see some photos of you too.
Things are going well here. After work, my friends and I are planning to go for a walk. As I mentioned, I have only two close friends, but they’re loyal and supportive, and I truly value their friendship. Over the years, I’ve met a lot of people, but only two have stayed in my life. It’s so important to have friends you can trust. How about you? Do you have a lot of friends?
Last year, my friends and I took a trip to Kyiv to visit the city’s sights. I love exploring new places. We also visited a water park, and by the end of the day, we were all exhausted. My friends said they’d never go anywhere with me again! We laughed about it afterward, of course.
I enjoy cooking a lot, and I spend a good amount of time in the kitchen. I love making meals for myself and don’t go out to eat at cafes much—only for coffee or tea with friends. Do you have a favorite dish? What do you usually like to eat? I dream of one day cooking for my own family, for my beloved man and children. Maybe sometimes I’ll even try some of his cooking, since they say men are excellent chefs!
I’d love to share hobbies and spend time with someone special. I think a good relationship requires mutual care and respect between a man and a woman. What do you think about this?
