Hello James,
I’m so glad to hear from you again, and I’m happy that you want to continue our communication.
Now, I’d like to share a little more about myself. I also want to know more about you. I live and work in Ternopil, a small town. As you may know, we are currently facing the difficult reality of war with Russia, and I truly hope it will end soon. My city is beautiful, and the people here are wonderful. Although this is not my hometown, I’ve grown fond of it. I was born elsewhere, but life brought me here, and I’ll share more about that as we get to know each other.
I work as a nurse, a job that carries a lot of responsibility. You probably understand the gravity of the work I do, as wounded soldiers often come to us. I must admit that this isn’t my dream job. I’ve always wanted to be a doctor, but circumstances in my life have kept me from pursuing that dream. I took this job to support myself, as I have no one else to rely on.
My work keeps me busy, but I try to find time for my hobbies. I enjoy sports, listening to music, watching interesting films, and reading books. I’d love to hear about your hobbies too.

Hello James,
What wonderful news! I’m really happy to see your letter. I would love to have a photo of you.
How is your day going? What do you do during the day? Most of my day is spent at work. I should warn you that we’re experiencing power shortages in my country right now, so if I suddenly can’t write to you, please don’t worry. After work, I like to take walks and spend time with my friends. Although I don’t have many friends, I value those few I have. Given the situation with the war, there’s not much entertainment available, but after work, I go home and my cat, Fluff, greets me. He’s always so happy to see me.
I used to have a dog that I loved very much, but she passed away from old age, and I was heartbroken. After that, I hesitated to get another dog. I love animals, and it pains me when they suffer or pass away. Do you have any pets?
Do you enjoy nature? I try to spend time outdoors, though it’s quite dangerous right now. I find being surrounded by nature very peaceful, and it helps me clear my mind, especially after a stressful day.
In my personal life, I long to start a family, but I haven’t found the right man yet. I’m not looking for something temporary, but a relationship that could last a lifetime. I believe that everything happens in due time, but the thought of finding the right person is always on my mind.
I live in a small city, so there aren’t many places to go or activities to do. The options are limited to the cinema, parks, cafes, or museums. While I like my city, sometimes I yearn for a break from the hustle and bustle. On weekends, I visit my aunt in the countryside, and my cousin, who is currently serving in the military to protect our country, is always on my mind. I pray for his safety every day.
I was born in the countryside, into a family of ordinary people. My parents passed away in a car accident when I was 16, which was a very difficult time for me. I don’t want to focus on that now, but I’m used to living without them. I’ve adjusted to city life, though I still love the quiet of the countryside.
Do you prefer living in the city or the countryside?

Hello James,
I’m happy to see your letter again, and it’s wonderful to know that you’re spending time writing to me. How has your day been? I’ve heard of American football, but I personally love volleyball! I would really appreciate it if you could send me some photos.
I’m doing well and working today, but after work, my friends and I plan to go for a walk. As I mentioned, I don’t have many friends—only two, but they are very loyal and supportive. In my 34 years, I’ve met many people, but only these two have remained close. They’re always there for me, just as I am for them. True friends are invaluable. Do you have many friends?
Last year, my friends and I took a trip to Kyiv to see the city’s sights. We visited several places, including a water park, and although it was exhausting, we had a lot of fun. They weren’t initially keen on going, but by the end of the trip, they had a great time. I hope to visit more places in the future.
I spend a lot of time cooking. I love preparing meals for myself and rarely eat out at cafes. I’ll go occasionally for coffee or tea with friends. Do you have a favorite dish? What do you usually eat?
I dream of having my own family one day, cooking for my beloved man and children. I’ve heard that men can be excellent cooks too, and I’d love to try their dishes.
I believe that a strong relationship is based on mutual care and support. A couple should look after each other, and I think that’s the foundation of a lasting family. What do you think?
