letterGot contacted by him on social dating site, can’t remember which one. Was so handsome in his picture, couldn't believe he was interested in me. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Said was widow and had a son. He had son send me some texts also. First started asking for money for son, said his bank account was messed up and couldn't get his money. Promised to repay me when he came to meet me. Over several months became very enamored with him and he seemed to genuinely care about me and we had such great conversations. He continued to need money with promise to repay each time. Over time I gave him close to 10,000. He had son call me a couple times and last request was for attorney retainment fees to help him get off the ship/ rig. When I told him he started to make fun of me and hurt my feelings. That’s when I ended it. The man wrote to me because he was looking for a former colleague who was similar to me. He is alone, he lost his parents in a car accident when he was 4 years old and grew up with an uncle who then died of cancer. Then he went to internet now he's a marine engineer in the North Sea. All alone. He is a widower and has an 11-year-old daughter in the orphanage. He was very attentive, but also asked me questions. He wanted to visit me. His contract runs for 2 years until February 2022. Then his daughter fell ill with a hernia. He wanted $ 6,000 through his nanny. When Jennifer was operated on, he presented me with a fake receipt. I didn't pay because the address and phone number weren't plausible. Now he still wants money to travel home, $ 1,500.
