He is a notorious fraudster famous for his check frauds and identity scams. He scammed people by his various acts as a pilot, teacher, doctor, security guard, lawyer and much more. He started his petty scams at the age of 15 with his father as the first victim for which he has been caught and sent to a reform school. He then improved himself as a better scammer and went on scamming the Pan American airways and their stewardess with his pilot act at the age of 18.

He travelled about 26 countries with his identity scam as a pilot. He has a habit of changing his identity now and then to avoid being caught and so he forged certificates and got employed as a doctor, lawyer and teacher which has been a success for frauds like him. He milked millions of dollars from the banks with his fake checks.

He was on the red notice of FBI during the 1970s for his scams and frauds and was caught lately. After four years of prison, he served as a fraud consultant with the FBI . And now he is an author and founder of Abagnale & associates which provides security programs to avoid scams and frauds to over a thousands of financial institutions, law firms and business corporations all over the world.
