Hi my dear Stewart,
How are you today? I have a strong desire to write to you, as I miss you so much! I think about you all the time, and you are very dear to me. How are things on your end? Anything new?
I’m doing well here, and I was so happy to hear from you. It really made my day! Unfortunately, international calls aren’t possible in my city, as I live over 4,000 kilometers from Nur-Sultan. There’s only one antenna tower here, and my mobile operator doesn’t even have an international code.
This morning, I woke up to the sunlight coming through my window, and my first thought was about you! I was lying in bed, imagining that maybe one day we’ll wake up together like this, and the first thing you’ll do is kiss me and wish me good morning. I’d do the same for you. I really like that thought. Who knows? Maybe it will be a reality one day. How do you feel about that, ***?
I’d like to share something personal with you, and I hope you’re okay with it. If it makes you uncomfortable, feel free to stop reading, and I won’t be offended. But I’ve become very close to you, and I think it’s important to tell you about some of my past. I’m sure you know that alcohol is a big problem in Kazakhstan, and I don’t want to be with a man from here for that reason.
Let me tell you about my past experience. I was working as an assistant to a children’s therapist when I met a man named Nikolay. One rainy day, I couldn’t go home because I’d left my umbrella at the clinic. He noticed me standing there and offered me his umbrella. He told me to keep it and gave me his address to return it later.
When I gave him back the umbrella the next day, we started talking, and I really liked him. Over time, we became more than friends, and he moved in with me. For the first two months, everything was great. But then he got a well-paying job as a truck driver, and soon after, he started drinking. At first, it was just a little, but it got worse, and he started drinking heavily. He would stay out all night, and when he came home drunk, he would beat me.
I tried to be patient, hoping he would change, but nothing ever got better. One day, after he beat me badly, I decided I had enough. I made him leave, and he didn’t return for nine days. I found out that he was with other women during that time. When he came back, he wasn’t sorry, so I made him leave for good. He broke a photo of my mother and me, and that was the last straw.
Now, I’m grateful I didn’t marry him, but it made me realize that I don’t want to go through anything like that again. That’s why I don’t want to be with a Kazakh man, as many of them drink heavily. I hope you understand my feelings.
I’m really happy I met you, and I’m excited about our future. Marina says “hello” to you. I’ll finish my letter here, but I’m so grateful that you write to me.
With all my heart,
Jennifer Candy
P.S. I almost forgot to tell you! The building expert came and fixed my pipes, so I won’t be freezing this winter! It’s a small thing, but it means a lot to me. It was the same carpenter who fixed Nina’s door!

Hello my dear Stewart,
It’s always such a joy to receive your letters! I think about you constantly, and you’re always in my thoughts. The first thing I do when I get to the internet café is check my email, hoping to find a letter from you. I enjoy your letters so much; they make me feel how sincere and serious you are with me. I can’t express all my feelings, but when we meet, you’ll see the joy and happiness in my eyes.
When I look at your photos, I imagine what it would be like to meet in person. I want you to know just how much you mean to me, and I’m so happy we met! Even though we’re far apart right now, I’m sure we need each other. Maybe we’re two halves of one? ;)
I can’t find the right words to describe my feelings for you. You’re making me the happiest woman in the world. Thank you for your love and care—I know you’re serious and sincere with me. I promise to do my best to make you happy too. You are so dear to my heart!
You’ve changed my life in ways I can’t even explain. I’m certain that we met for a reason—maybe it was God’s plan for us. I’m starting to feel afraid of losing you, of losing the special connection we have right now. I can’t imagine my life without you. You’ve brought so much joy into my life, and I trust you completely. I’ve opened my heart to you, and I hope our relationship continues like this, forever.
I’ll finish my letter here, eagerly waiting for your reply!
With hugs,
Jennifer Candy
Letter 3
Hi my sunshine Stewart,
How are you today? How has your day been? I’m doing well here, just thinking about you a lot. I was so happy to receive your letter! Your letters always bring me joy.
How was your day, Stewart? What did you do? Today, I went for a walk with my friend Marina in the park. I couldn’t help but think how nice it would be if we were walking together. Wouldn’t that be lovely?
I decided to come to the internet café and write to you right away. I have a little more free time now, so I can write to you more often—maybe every day or every other day. I’ve gotten so used to your letters that I miss you when I don’t hear from you.
I’ve told you before that I’m looking for my true love, my soulmate. I feel like I’m getting closer to finding it now. I’m very serious about you. The only thing left is for us to meet. I think it’s really important for us to meet in person, to get to know each other better. I dream of the day we can look into each other’s eyes for the first time. It’s still just a dream, but I want it to come true!
I’ll finish my letter here and wait eagerly for your reply!
I miss you!
