George Appo

George Appo is an American fraudster and a pickpocket who was born into a family with criminal backgrounds. Being a Chinese American Appo struggled his early days without family's help as they were all unavailable in different occasions. “Appo started to sell newspapers in the Broadway but his income never satisfied him and his fellow partners; so they began their crooked way of income by pickpocket”.

Appo eventually mingled with them as pickpocket for his livelihood, he pick pocketed the gentlemen in Broadway with his innocent face and with the façade of a newspaper seller. He then grew up as a criminal and eventually got caught for his deeds. ‘He was in the prison for two years’. In prison he wrote his autobiography which remained as one of the best testimonials by a criminal even though it was never published.
